This compact wellness garden shows how layered design and spatial intelligence can transform a waterfront city plot into a complete outdoor living environment. Through vertical zoning, integrated wellness elements and strong architectural connections, the garden offers a lifestyle concept highly relevant to urban villas in Dubai and the Middle East.
Layered spatial design
The garden is organised across three distinct levels: a terrace connected to the home, a central level with swimming pool, and a lower waterfront zone with a private deck. Each level serves a specific function, while visual alignment and clear sightlines ensure coherence. This vertical zoning maximises usability and comfort within a compact urban footprint.
Building as connector
A multifunctional garden building forms the spatial and functional anchor of the design. Positioned centrally, it connects all three levels with direct access from each height. The building houses an outdoor kitchen, lounge area, fireplace, sauna, toilet and technical space, transforming the garden into a fully equipped extension of the home rather than a separate outdoor area.
Wellness, water & atmosphere
The swimming pool is enhanced with integrated lighting, allowing the garden to shift atmosphere from day to evening use. Positioned between the upper terrace and waterfront deck, the pool acts as a visual and experiential link between levels. Together with water access and soft lighting, this creates a calm, resort-like ambiance within an urban setting.
Styling, balance & added value
Despite its compact scale, the garden offers a complete outdoor lifestyle through careful spatial balance and refined detailing. Decorative planters and seasonal flowering plants add colour and flexibility, allowing the garden to evolve over time. The integrated wellness pavilion effectively expands the home’s living space, contributing not only to daily comfort but also to long-term property value.
