Park Garden
This park-inspired garden translates openness, movement and flexibility into a refined residential landscape. Through looping pathways, generous planting and movable garden elements, the design creates a calm, spacious atmosphere — a concept well suited to villa gardens in Dubai and the Middle East.
Park-like layout
The garden is structured with softly curving pathways that loop through the landscape, reinforcing its park-like character. Using stabilised gravel (padvast), the paths feel natural while remaining practical and accessible. At the heart of the garden lies a large central green space, allowing the surrounding landscape to breathe and creating a sense of openness and visual rest.
Planting & spatial calm
Lush planting frames the pathways and central lawn, softening the overall composition and enhancing the park atmosphere. The generous green core acts as a visual anchor, while planting around the edges provides depth and enclosure. This balance between open space and layered greenery supports a calm, expansive feeling — particularly valuable in large residential gardens and estates.
Objects, water & flexibility
To enrich the central green space, a series of movable garden objects was introduced, including water tables. These elements add depth, colour and sensory experience without fixing the layout permanently. Water introduces sound and reflection, enhancing the garden’s atmosphere while allowing flexibility — an approach that works especially well in warm climates such as Dubai.
Styling, air & adaptability
Hardscape and semi-hardscape elements were placed around the house to create visual lightness and spatial clarity. Freestanding planters further increase flexibility, allowing the garden to be styled, adjusted or refreshed over time. This adaptability enables the outdoor space to evolve with changing needs, moods and seasons, reinforcing the garden as a living, personal environment.
While this park garden was realised in Europe, its spatial openness, flexible elements and planting-led structure are directly applicable to villa gardens and estate landscapes in Dubai and the Middle East
